The Nihil SIgil

Speaking of paper talismans, here is one that has been particularly useful for me these days. Well, techically it's not a sigil but heck, the name's got a nice ring to it.

I also call it the Triangle of Negation, or the "pigil" sigil ("pigil" being Tagalog for the word "prevent"). It's based on the classic ABRACADABRA charm. Unlike my other talismans, the words written on it are pretty obvious and straightforward. It's three sides nicely accentuates its correspondence to Saturn, whose number is three. In classical Western magic, Saturn is the planetary sphere to work with for purposes of banishment and destruction.

I admit, this was originally designed for 'evil' purposes, but actually it's doing me more good than harm.

Want to control your diet? Place it on the fridge.
Prevent yourself from impulsive spending? Put it on your wallet.
Fight your addiction to Facebook? Stick it onto the computer monitor.
Bam!

The paper was stained in a potion of black pepper, cumin, cinnamon, rust, bone dust and god knows what else (I forgot the rest). To make the most of Saturnian energies, it is to be made and charged on a Saturday, during the hours of Saturn, and preferably when the moon is in Scorpio.

The Tetragrammaton of the Illuminati

In reading Peter Carroll's "Psyber Magic", I came across an interesting diagram in which he divides psychopolitical programmes into four interesting groups. For some reason, this has stuck with me for years. I was trying to come up with a design on the lid of a wooden box for keeping my tarot cards in, and what I end up with is a 'sigilized' version of said diagram.

I'm not sure how this relates to the tarot but I'm gonna go with it.

The tridents represent chaotic while the crosses represent lawful. Hebrew letters above are YHSVH ("Jesus"), and below are YHVH ("Jehova"), which are the nice and naughty polarity of the lawful alignment. On the left is the Hebrew STN ("Satan"), and on the right is the Latin LVX ("Lucifer"), which are the naughty and nice polarity of the chaotic alignment. I wanted to emphasize the Luciferic programme as the path of illumination, hence Lux, meaning light, which the word Lucifer itself came from.

The Latin letters in red are simply a mish-mash of the words XAOS and ORDO. The words written in the Alphabet of the Magic are the words from the diagram itself. See below.

The Jehovic programme of lawful nastiness dominates most psychopolitical systems from the nation sate down the self-similar fractal ladder to the selfs within a person. Such systems tend to maintain their stasis quo at the expense of surrounding systems or sub-systems.

The Christic and Satanic programmes have little overall effect, as they expend themselves against the Jehovic programme and each other; and few systems manage to display either permanent beastliness or saintliness...

Only the Luciferic programme allows evolution, as the Illuminati well know. In recent centuries the dominant psychopolitical Jehovic forces have come to realize that a limited amount of Luciferic creative chaos can give them an edge over systems which do not possess it.

Digital Diet

The Di-di Sigil (use as Facebook profile photo): You see two "D"s placed against each other depicting an hour glass containing your lifeblood - slowly, constantly, inevitably trickling down.

Notebooks of Shadows

These decade-old disheveled stacks of spiral notes are the closest things to what I would consider "Book of Shadows". By contrast, these are actually far more glamourous than the Cattleya filler-journals that I keep today.

Uniting Chaos and Order. Trying merge some aspects of Zos Kia Cultus with Hermetic Kabbalah and gnosticism. I imagined TZIMTZUM, the kabbalistic concept of the contraction of infinity to measurable space and time, to be synonymous to a perfect circle getting pinched (by the Prime Mover) into some form and thus resulting to new dimensions, as well as giving birth to the concept of beginning, duration, and end - which is I A O for the gnostics, the trimurti for the Hindus, and Eos, Alfiga, and Min-goreth in my crazy autistic world. 

A table of the shemhamephorash. Useful for calling those devilish little helpers.

Creating meta-models. These are written in my invented language. 

Most of it I can no longer remember the meaning. I still remember quite well the names I've given to the four elements: Aglarilepto, Agiropardalli, Akivathi, Allithera - the bestowing, the absorbing, the ethereal, and the material.

Message from Cyber God

The personal computer has become our temple. The binary digits 0 and 1 are the god and goddess of the new aeon - the Yin and the Yang of the digital Tao, the Yoni and Lingam of the present age. Man created Computer as God created Man in his own image. Whether we humans admit it or not, we have in fact created new gods and have become subjects to their benefic and destructive powers. As a meta-magician I see nothing wrong with the PC as an instrument of augury just as the ancient people would use yarrow sticks, chicken guts, incese smoke, or oracle cards. There is of course much benefit from using tangible materials, like making it easier to enter into altered states of consciousness, but for a busy office worker like me I find the ease of using software programs indispensable. What the papyrus was to the priests of old is the pixel to the cyber mage. Both are just mediums through which to course information from the non-material world. [1]

That being said, I'm bemused by this fairly popular Facebook application called "God Wants You to Know", which posts a daily dose of random, overused spiritual cliché onto your Facebook wall (and for 18 dollars, you will receive messages from God through SMS. How cool is that?)

Thousands of years ago, God was a burning bush and a pillar of storm cloud, now God is an algorithm.

I do not discount the fact however that this thing does work for many people. Not only do the quotes make them warm and fuzzy all-over, which I think is half of what spirituality is all about, it also gives them the opportunity to ponder on certain areas of their lives and reevaluate themselves - even if the advice given seems irrelevant or disagreeable. I see this as being not much different from the practice of  consulting the I Ching or the tarot.

Why do I get so annoyed when this shows up on my Facebook wall? Any stuff involving God tends to sell easily; just look at the Bible. This app currently has 170 thousand fans from all over the world[2], and the guy who made this is probably reaping thousands of dollars from "God Wants You to Know" premium accounts. I just wish I were the fucking genius who have thought of this.
