Due to my day job, I wasn't able to celebrate the equinox on March 21, but the Universe gave me another good option.

What better way to celebrate an earth sabbat than during the Earth Hour?

My Pagan altar shall be a place of birth and life, as I monitor and tend to these fast growing sprouts for the months to come.

Soil, seed, ash and water. A little earth magic on the earth hour.

Nice to know that the rest of the world are celebrating with me in their own little ways.

A week after planting, the mung bean sprouts are growing out of control. Hopefully they flower just in time for Beltane.

Ostara by the Falls

Much has been said about the fearsomeness of Mother Nature lately since the devastating Earthquake that hit Japan over a week ago, so we sought out to see her other side, which is awe-inspiring, nurturing and beautiful.

As Ostara is about renewal, we prayed for healing and recovery of those who were affected by the catastrophe, as well as of ourselves, so that we may be better equipped spiritually and emotionally in these uncertain times.

Craving Crêpe

I just went on a quest to find the most delicious crêpe  (popular Paris street food) I could ever find in the city. I think I found it - and it's just a few minutes walk away from the office. Vive la France!

Just the right amount of sweetness and the right amount of rhum. Yum.

Memories of Bali (Hai)

Sate Ayam. More than just barbecued chicken.

I was going to categorize this under Spirituality, but I realized we actually did more eating than "spiritualitizing", ergo the Food category.

It's Nyepi, or Balinese New Year. In Bali, it is actually celebrated with fasting and silence. But we at Medicine for Gaia would have it otherwise. After about an hour of our monthly meeting and homa session, we headed straight to our newly-found grounding spot: Bali Hai in Quezon City.

The laing, sate ayam and ginseng tea are all good and heavenly, but when I tasted the nasi goreng, I reached nirvana.
